For those of you who are new to cpa here are some things to remember when selecting a cpa network
1: How often they pay
Most networks will pay you by cheque or bank deposit/transfer at the end of the month, but you should always clarify with the company what their pay out schedule is. if you are a international affiliate (i.e. not American) you should check if they have a different payout schedule for international affiliates, and also what payout methods they have for international affiliates (some only send cheques to international affiliates)
2: What tracking system they are using
Most cpa companies use directtrack for their tracking, I personally hate directtrack (and im not alone) for these reasons... firstly it’s pretty ugly, the interface is horrible and looks like it was designed around the time windows 98 was released. Secondly it’s known for "dropping leads" i.e. not every lead you generate is credited to you. Unfortunately 90% of cpa companies use directtrack but recently some networks like pepperjam and motiveinteractive have gone ahead and used their own in house tracking system... and i imagine many more networks will follow them.
3: High volume payout rates
almost all of the large cpa networks will have a special payout plan for high volume affiliates... what this means is if you generate more than $1000 or $2000 in a week they will send you weekly payments so you don’t have to wait till the end of the month.
4: Network reputation
Before you join any affiliate network do some research on them, make sure they have a good track record of paying affiliates on time. One of the feature of Directtrack is called "crosspublication" this basically allows cpa networks to swap offers within the directtrack software...this has lead to an army of cpa middle men who basically take offers from the bigger cpa companies post it on their own cpa network and take %20 in the middle... not only are these middle men taking money for nothing they generally are the slowest to pay and participate in lead scrubbing more often than other cpa networks.
