This is the second part of the keyword sniping case study. In the first one, i have done the keyword research for a particular niche - fishing, in this case- and after briefly analyzing the competition i have opted to create 2 sniping websites:

A simple keyword sniping website for the term " shark fishing " and a double keyword sniping website for the terms "bass fishing tips" and "fishing tips". (Once i am done ranking for the bass fishing tips keyword then i will use the same website to rank for the more trafficked keyword "fishing tips".

Please read this thread if you have questions about the keyword research part

Okay, so once i have decided on what keywords to pursue, i followed the same steps posted in the ks tutorial.

Domain registering :

for the keyword "shark fishing" i registered the domain
removed due to a click bombing on my adsense

for the keyword "bass fishing tips" i registered the domain
removed due to a click bombing on my adsense

These are not the ideal domains that i would like for these keywords, but since the other ones were taken, i had to adjust my preference. For low competition keywords the presence of keywords in the domain url is an important factor in se ranking, thus why i included my keywords in the domains, although they might seem a little long.

Website building:

Generally, you can have a look at the websites, and you'll figure out pretty much the basics of how should a keyword sniping, adsense-ready website to look.

I used wordpress to create the websites. I choose simple themes, white-blue, no pics because in my experience with adsense they perform the best for non tech users. I tend to create ugly websites such that visitors tend to click an ad and leave the websites.

I use the standard blue adsense boxes because non tech users are used to clicking blue colored links. The adsense ads are posted in the first half of the websites and in the sidebar to get maximum visibility. This format usually gives a nice ctr in adsense, without a fear that your website to be cataloged as a spammy mfa.

I include "recent posts" widget in the sidebar in order to link from my main page to all other pages. I also include my keywords as category names - for those who asked what category names i use. I use this format for se friendly urls, domain.com/name-of-the-post

Plugins that i used to create my wordpress websites:

-one click plugin - used to upload themes and plugins to my blog with a click without uploading them through ftp every time

-all in one seo pack - for on page seo purposes

-google sitemap generator - on page seo, sitemap generating

-homepage excerpts plugin - for displaying excerpts of all posts on home page

-whydowork adsense plugin - for managing adsense ads

-wordpress automatic update - to keep my wordpress installation up to date and avoid hacking vulnerabilities.

I use google analytics for website statistics.

I also edited the themes not to display the date of the posts.

Content writing

I outsourced the content writing part to a dp worker for 5$ per article. I am pretty satisfied with the job.

As you can see, the websites created for keyword sniping purposes are not fancy, easy to maintain and fast to create. My purposes with these websites is to get them ranked in serps, and make me money on autopilot.

If someones is interested, i can put together a file with all the plugins used in the process and eventually the themes.

Let me know if there are any questions regarding the website building part. I will start the link building this month.
