I market my website through articles. Article marketing is a free way to get traffic and one way backlinks. Write a short article on your niche topic and submit it to article directories for a backlink and some traffic.

To dominate a niche may take only a few back links!

I must be kinda sucky then cause with over 5 backlinks from PR 4+ pages and several hundreds of PR N/A/0/1 links I can't dominate a shift.

great write up, especially the tip with the edu links. I am wondering what the strategy is on finding quality high pr blogs to comment on where the page you comment on has the high pr. Its easy to find PR0 blog post, but finding PR3 or 4 is hard or just a shot in the dark.
