Default OutSide The Box CPA 1

Exploits, exploits, exploits, everyone loves the exploits, so here’s one that’s top shelf and I’ve just recently scaled it up to over 80 leads a day on average the last few weeks.

The last few months I keep seeing these little threads popping up about auto loan, grants, education, credit report offers, etc and how to trick people into doing them.

There’s been a few decent spins of it discussed in various forums, but no one has made any real attempts to perfect the recipe.

My only issue with these types of methods is the labor involved. It’s a real bitch trying to get all these ads to stick, steal images, link the offer, make it look legit, post all over the place and on and on.

It’s not that they don’t work, they definitely do, but there is always a better mouse trap to build.

My version of these types of exploits is what I would call the Ron Popeil “Just set it and forget it approach” (he’s the guy that sold about 50 million of those stupid at home rotisserie ovens).

Let’s start with the easy stuff like FreeCreditReport.com. It’s got an average CPA of $22.00, not bad scratch right?

So what should be our very first thought here?

Exactly: Who needs a credit report?

Lots of people need a credit report, no question about that, but let’s take it further and ask ourselves:

“Who needs A LOT of credit reports?”

The short list that came to my mind a few months ago when I started playing with this was:

    1. Apartment and residential rental agents

    2. Companies hiring employees for a financial or high ethical position.

Just from those two alone you’d never have to work again (provided of course there is always a free credit report offer, and they aint going anywhere).

So let’s start with number 1: Rental Agents.

I’m sure many of you have rented a house or apartment at some point in your life if not currently.

There is a 95% chance you needed to go through a credit check in order to be approved.

There is a 90% chance they even charged you $30 or so as an “application fee” to do this.

How many times a day does this happen in America?

    TENS OF THOUSANDS

What does the rental agency get out of this process?

    Nothing.

Sure they get a commission on the new tenant but I’m talking about all those application fees.

That money is going to other companies who run and provide the credit report for them.

So what do you think the odds are that quite a few of those would be

interested in you PAYING THEM for every credit report run?

Well judging from my well over 80 leads a day and still rising like a space shuttle, I’d say pretty good.

I’ve got a girl who is working 7 hour days calling rental office after rental office pitching this deal. She’s getting me a few Yes’s a day which translates to a decent chunk of leads by the end of each month.

The only thing that changes for the rental office in working with you is that instead of running the report themselves, they must give a URL to the customer with their rental application and have them run the report themselves to fax or bring back with them.

As I’m sure you know, these offers require a free trial of some sort to be elected by the person requesting the report (usually three weeks free of a credit monitoring service), so we need all these potential renters to go home and do the offer on their own computer so that everything looks straight and narrow with our CPA networks.

Our offer to them is exactly this:

    1. They get $10 for every credit application one of their prospective tenants runs (Leaving us an average of $8 to $15 profit for ourselves depending on the CPA) 2. Most of their applicants will have no issue with this process at all as it both saves them a $30 application fee and helps keep their social security number safe.

This is no different than any other type of sales, you’ll get more No’s than Yes’s, but one Yes makes up for one hundred No’s.

As it stands at the moment I’m grossing well over a grand a day on this, around $1300 after the expense of Christina who is our telemarketer of sorts for the project.

On Wednesday of last week I was asked to ramp up the traffic on one of the credit report offers I’m rotating because the advertiser was loving the traffic and my payout just went up another $1.40 per lead.

That should tell you that the lead quality is staying in the solid range, at least enough that the merchant is making a few bucks on the deal.

Generally I seed in full on white hat paid traffic to make sure I’m taking good care of my merchants, though like all exploits I test first with just the grey hat traffic to gauge how good it is.

You’d be very surprised how well leads like this can convert if you set it up right. In many cases I don’t need to go spend money on driving more targeted leads to mix into the offer because the “clever” traffic is doing just fine all by itself.

What I suggest doing is rotating multiple free credit report offers from different networks. The traffic is not bad, but at the same time, an exploit is an exploit, so you must maximize your chances of profit while simultaneously minimizing risk.

I register a domain such as “TheFreeCreditReport.com” (It has to look believable when you play this type of CPA).

With that I can host it on my server and rotate some offers to spread the leads out. You can track each rental company by subid, giving them their own link like TheFreeCreditReport.com/rentalofficename.

Is it really that easy ?

    Yes

Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on which category of member you fall into this actually takes being proactive, so most won’t even bother pursuing it.

Number 2 from above is also a lot of fun but its best used as part of a little something I call “The Massacre” because it combines a multi stage multi revenue stream that will make you no less than $500 a day part time from

    week 1.

    As a side note:

Would the networks be happy with this?

Ehh, depends on who you are talking to. A lot of networks feel about creative tactics like this like the army feels about gay soldiers, don’t ask, don’t tell.

If the merchant is making money, everyone is generally happy, but I wouldn’t go spilling the beans on this if asked what your promotion method is.

Let them know you are running a national classified ad campaign, etc. I’ve even bought classified ad spots in papers just to show as evidence if I’m ever called on it.

    Pretty clever huh?

You produce a newspaper with a legit ad in it leading to your URL and they will back off like you’re radioactive.
