Whats the best ways to get the most out of adsense clicks ?

I want to know what are the best ways to get the most money out of adsense per click ?

Do you use text or do you use pictures and what sizes do you use ?

I find a fairly large text banner at the top of each webpage brings in the most revenue , a good bit more than images.

But of course this would depend on the niche you are targetting.

Like the poster above me, I'd always go with a large leader board near to the top. And lots of traffic. People make out like theres a massive science to making money from adsense, but most of it comes down to traffic.

The one thing that is absolutely KEY is to split test color variations. You would be absolutely AMAZED at what different colors can do for different sites. I have gone from .2 CTR, to over 3% CTR on certain sites by modifying the color variations, usually making them stand out more.

Another good idea is to provide them with some good content, but not enough so that they are satisfied so they end up clicking your ads. This + high paying keywords = $$$
