Did a test account in this ego rubbish area. Checked out after that some Twitter search engines.

tweetmeme.com

They hold everything even cached messages that you have deleted.
When you use a url shortener they show up your original linked url.
Test it yourself.

If anyone knows a good SIMPLE script to build shorteners by my own where I can let the people send anonymous urls, send me via pm !
If you know more search/spy tools for twitter messages/accounts, post it.

Needs PHP mod_rewrite and MySQL.

Create DB.
Add new user to DB.
Import database.sql.
Edit /includes/conf.php with your database information.
Upload to your server.

I would suggest protecting the folder considering the potential for spam.
There is no real tracking or anything but it gets the job done.

PS: Dump the database in phpmyadmin when you want the links to go away. Import database.sql again and it starts over.

Change the 2 to a one so AlienURL1()
For some reason I named the function sequentialy. I get confused with globals and includes some times. I'm used to seeing my declar in an IDE lol. Anyway, should fix it. If not skype aliengeek and I'll take a deeper look.

I gotta tell you, twitter does not impress me at all and the reason for it is that there is just so much info. I mean if you have 1000 friend, 300 of them will post a message per day and most of the people will not go through 300 messages just to click on your link. I find targeted forums and facebook much better for social promotion.

^agree. Also the traffic doesn't covert well. My traffic that comes from twitter stay on my sites for less than 5 seconds, not even an ad click. you may have little luck if your into cpm.
